Pepperlina - Turmeric

This turmeric powder comes from Indonesia. It is gently solar-dried, yet not exposed directly to sunlight. This preserves its aromas and active compounds and wastes no energy.

Turmeric is very closely related to ginger, and the plant also looks similar. The spice turmeric that we know here is obtained from the dried, yellow-orange root.

Turmeric is a staple ingredient in curry blends and masala, and it's drunk as tea or “golden milk.” The curcumin in this spice promotes digestion, for example if you've eaten too much. You can also color foods well with turmeric: whether it's dough, dips, or rice – but watch out for your clothes, because it stains them too 😉 

You get it in a glass jar (60g) (coming soon) and in a paper bag (80g).

It is exported by the Agradaya cooperative, which, together with its producers, places great emphasis on sustainability. For example, they implement agroforestry methods when growing the spices. This results in a 100% natural product with no additives.
