Pepperlina - Cloves

These cloves come from Idjwi Island in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They are grown and dried by Elody Wema Naburafiki and her women’s cooperative (Coopérative des Productrices des Epices Wa Mama Congo Ni Tamu). In addition to cloves, they also produce a wide range of other products, such as coffee,, ginger, and nutmeg.

Cloves are the dried flower buds of the clove tree. They have a spicy, pungent flavor and are therefore used sparingly. They are very versatile: in sauces, for cabbage dishes, in gingerbread, or also in punch and mulled wine. By the way, cloves are also included in most curry powders.

You can get it in the glass jar (50g) or in the paper bag (60g).
