Intango believes that coffee can be a dignified and sustainable path to economic development for EVERYONE, especially for producers with disabilities who have very few economic opportunities. That is why Intango works with 11 producers living with various disabilities, helping them earn their livelihood through coffee.

A few years ago, Intango purchased land next to the coffee washing station for this project, where these 11 producers now run a shared coffee garden. his year is the first year they are able to export their coffee, and I purchased 2 bags of this wonderful anaerobically fermented coffee!

Just as other producers working with Intango have used their coffee income to send their children to school, improve their homes, and achieve a better standard of living, that is also the goal for these 11 producers. With fair prices and Intango's support, coffee becomes more than a product, it becomes a means for change. Coffee means people, and everyone is included in that!

As is typical for coffee from Rwanda, this is an intensely fruity coffee with floral notes. Perfect for lovers of funky coffee! 🙂

Anaerobic natural means that after picking, the coffee is left to ferment airtight in a tank for 3 days before being laid out to dry. Only after drying are the beans removed from the fruit bagged. This processing method contributes to the fruity flavour.
